U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Inspector General
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Labor Office of Inspector General (DOL OIG) today launched its first-ever Most Wanted List, intensifying the aggressive pursuit of 16 fugitives accused of stealing more than $55 million from American taxpayers.
The fugitives are wanted in cases involving foreign labor visa fraud, unemployment insurance fraud, labor trafficking, identity theft, money laundering, healthcare fraud, unlawful labor payments, and other crimes that harm American workers and undermine federal programs.
“President Trump and Vice President Vance have unleashed a whole-of-government war on fraud. Today we are introducing our first-ever Most Wanted List, targeting 16 fraudsters who stole more than $55 million from hardworking American taxpayers. In partnership with the White House Fraud Task Force, we are using every resource possible and will not stop until every one of these criminals is in handcuffs and every stolen dollar is accounted for. No more excuses. No more hiding. The hunt is on,” said Anthony P. D’Esposito, Inspector General, U.S. Department of Labor.
Fraud is not a victimless crime. It steals from vulnerable Americans, threatens public safety, and fuels violent criminal activity. The DOL OIG, working alongside President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance’s White House Fraud Task Force, is fully committed to relentless enforcement, swift prosecutions, and delivering real justice for the American people.
Under this administration, law enforcement has been given the full backing and resources to pursue fraudsters without restraint. The Most Wanted List serves as a force multiplier, mobilizing the public, media and online platforms, and international partners to locate these individuals and bring them to justice. It is part of a coordinated, whole-of-government effort focused on aggressive investigations, rapid arrests, and strong prosecutions.
“16 today, and I promise after the DOL IG finds them, there will be more to come. Fraudsters shouldn’t sleep under this administration,” said Scott Brady, Executive Director, White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud.
The DOL OIG is already delivering results. Leslie Kaciban, wanted in connection with an alleged labor racketeering scheme involving approximately $4 million in illegal kickbacks, was arrested in Hungary and is awaiting extradition to the United States.
